really, i have just a few more minutes in my work day (yes, i am indeed "socially networking") and the page looked sad without a single post.
of all people, i would never expect others to read - no less enjoy - my daily thoughts. but, a friend of mine created hers as a sort of online portfolio, and that i can do.
what you can expect from me is plenty of news posting, a bit of commentary, a dryer sarcasm, and a summary of what i've "contributed" to the world thus far.
as a young woman with a BA in international political economy, i find myself in a rat race with those Capitol Hill - I'm wearing my suit and tie to class types - even though i'd rather be in a jungle explaing the foundations of democracy to people in their language.
thankfully, i've managed to eek out a path that's affected peoples' lives (yay Guinea! [see the link to the BEFORE project]) and made its way into the hands of some influential people.
cheers to a satisfying, albeit it sometimes scary journey to make a difference.
