More about me and the blog: the title definitely means something to me. As an avid appreciator of avatar - just kidding! - of words, things like that generally will. So do things like this: I've recently relocated and although it's been at least a month since the place has been painted, things stick.
Doors in particular, and it's so ironic because the harder you pull, the harder they resist. But if you get over the primitive instinct to fight (since flight is not available) and just nudge 'em, they swing open like a breeze. Interesting...
I digress - back to the blog. Anyone know what these are?

I came to say that in a few short weeks, even with minimal "foot traffic," I've gotten kind of into blogging. I hope for my sake it's not in a narcissistic way, but I think not. Rather, I love meeting people - the random-er the better. Hence, a new way to do so.
And it's less concerning to my family than couch surfing ♥

I introduce myself in by first blog post as well - but as I mentioned, I do not intend to post a journal. Real bloggers, take no offense. I just don't always wake up witty.
Instead, I'm building my site like that of a friend's, whose is more like an online portfolio. That seems liberating, novel even. It allows my ever changing mind to express itself however it chooses, resulting in something more like me.
And in spite of my unabashed convictions concerning the beauty and power of naivete; preference for wordly goings ons (especially French culture and Russian governmental woes); splashes of moral musing; and the occaisional plea for common sense/compassion - I really do welcome comments and constructive criticism! Surtout concernant mes traductions, my published pieces, and on the Sundries page.
Share your stories, share your recipes, and speak your mind. Just please, don't confuse your with you're.
Finally, the difficulty you may have reading my color choice in font is intentional in so far as it reflects my mood. While acclimating, I'd like to lay low.
Happy browsing,
Jen
